Happy Fourth of July New York! This year marks the first time in five years that Macy’s July 4, 2014 fireworks show will return to the East River from the Hudson River side. It will therefore be visible from many points with open views of the lower East River in Manhattan, Brooklyn and parts of Queens. As the river parks have been developed in recently years along the Brooklyn side, there will be more areas to see the fireworks display. If you are not one to stand in a crowd, it is scheduled to start around 9pm and will be broadcast live on NBC.
Macy’s website provides maps and additional information. The Mommy Poppins website has a fantastic list of places to watch from or cruises that may still be available as well as some additional details, especially if you have kids. Additionally TimeOut New York has their tips for what to do in New York this weekend.
I and the Tony Sargent Team at CORE wish you and yours a safe and wonderful July 4th, 2014 weekend and celebrations.
